Pinson Communications is a diversified holding company that offers product distribution, Internet based article syndication, private label e-commerce services, publishing, broadcasting and brand advertising. History & Events 2006 Pinson expands charitable support for Tampa Bay Organizations. Company also hosts special VIP Party with American Idol Melissa MeGhee to perform for The Spring of Tampa Bay, which offers emergency shelter services for battered women and children. Pinson Expands into a third warehouse and opens additional operations offices, with three buildings total. The Company expands to over 250,000 new book titles. Pinson expands new technologies to support more third party retail stores with drop ship and fulfillment services models. In April 2006, Pinson founded Pinson Foundation, Inc. as a nonprofit company to support the financial needs of the poor and needy in Tampa Bay. In May 2006, Pinson is named the 3rd Fastest Growing Business in Tampa Bay out of 100,000+ businesses, rated by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. Company closes PublicationsEtc.com, InvestmentBooks.com and MarketMavens.com projects to focus on International book distribution model. Decision creates record sales growth with new focus on supporting third party retailers. 2005 The Company expands its inventory to over 200,000 new book titles in stock. 2004 In 2004, Pinson was recognized as one of the Fastest Growing Companies in Tampa Bay in the Top 100 category, according to Tampa Bay Business Journal. In the fall of 2004, Pinson expanded its operations center, and increased its book titles from 100,000 to 150,000 titles. The company expanded other types of marketing channels where Pinson provides warehouse and drop ship services for specialty retail stores and web sites. Pinson initiates an employment program for the deaf. 2003 Pinson opened its new operations center and corporate offices in Oldsmar, Florida (Tampa Bay). As of year end Pinson employed 23 employees, and shipped over 30,000 customer orders per month from its operations center. 2002 Pinson expanded is book distribution operations from investment books, to general business, management, text, professional, fiction and non-fiction titles. 2001 By 2001, Pinson had expanded it's operations with over 700 other third party web sites who had partnered with Pinson Communications. Pinson Communications had broken all 30-year sales records of Traders Press, Inc. as a third party distributor/reseller, and was the highest producing distributor of their published product lines ever. Regrettably, in October 2001, Pinson was forced to file a lawsuit against Traders Press, Inc, for allegedly breaching Pinson's exclusive distribution rights, directly circumventing product revenues from Pinson and other contract terms. In 2002, Traders Press , Inc. settled the lawsuit with Pinson without admitting or denying any wrong doing. In July 2002, Pinson ended all relations with Traders Press, Inc. and opened it's own warehouse operations to support it's drop ship and supply operations for its existing marketing channels. In 2001, Pinson purchased InvestmentBooks.com, which in 2002, TradersPressBookstore.com was then merged into InvestmentBooks.com. Because of this Pinson's acquisition of InvestmentBooks.com, Pinson was able to expand its inventory from 600 investment titles that was originally supplied by Traders Press, Inc, to over 4000 investment, tax and personal finance books, CD's, video tapes and study courses. Today, Pinson continues its private label e-commerce and drop ship model for its customers. 1999 In December 1999, Pinson began producing The Market Mavens Radio Show, which is a weekly Internet based radio show that founder Michael Pinson hosts. Each show as 1-2 financial guests which include the contributing investment analysis to MarketMavens.com, and best selling investment book authors. After just six pilot radio shows in 1999, ON24.com and Yahoo Finance picked up the show for distribution. ON24.com is a audio/video news distributor that offers distribution in over 900 web sites around the world. Later that year, every show was picked up by Yahoo Finance. In year 2004, due to time management, the show was suspended temporarily until a show host can replace Mr. Pinson. Today Mr. Pinson concentrates his time as Chairman of the company. 1998 In April 1998, Pinson opened a second chain of private label stores with third party web sites under the trade name of PublicationsEtc.com. This new chain of stores offers consumers over 300 investment publications, study courses, audio/video courses, computer software and much more. In June 1998, Pinson completed phase II of its Internet technologies that would allow the company to electronically syndicate articles from major publishers into third party web sites. This new technology allows Pinson to upload an article once into the main computer system and the same article will post into partnered web pages within multiple web sites within one second. The concept was developed by founder J. Michael Pinson where the company can offer third party web sites a turn-key solution to combine electronic private labeled stores that are cross marketed from the syndicated columns that Pinson manages. All advertising space for these web pages is also owned and managed by Pinson Communications. In July 1998, Pinson announced the new syndicated columns for third party web sites that include; The Market Mavens Report , with 20 investment sections and 65 columns updated each week. MarketMavens.com is also syndicated into over 200 third party webs sites around the world. Pinson continues to develop newer content management technologies today. CEO J. Michael Pinson announces that he will no longer remain a Registered Investment Advisor and portfolio manager under Pinson & Associates, P.A. and will push full time as the CEO of Pinson Communications, Inc. 1997 In May 1997, Pinson purchased all exclusive Internet product marketing and distribution rights of Traders Press, Inc., and investment book distributor and publisher. Pinson founded TradersPressBookstore.com, related to TradersPress.com, as the second largest investment specialty store on the Internet. Pinson developed additional Internet technologies to offer a specialty bookstore as a private label store with third party web sites. Pinson became very successful with it's proprietary technologies and drop ship services. By 2001, Pinson had over 900 investment specialty stores which provided back end technologies and drop ship services for third party retail organizations. In September 1997, Pinson & Associates, P.A. spun Pinson Communications, Inc. out as a separate company. 1995 In 1995, company founder J. Michael Pinson opened the company's first web site called The Financial Center. From 1997 through 1999, TFC.com, was rated in the Top 100 Financial sites by 100Hot.com/Finance. The famous "Market Mavens Report" project was actually born in TFC.com in November 1995, and moved into it's own brand web site called MarketMavens.com in 1998. Since 1988, CEO and founder J. Michael Pinson as appeared as a speaker at national investment conferences. Michael Pinson helps educate investors about the economy, Wall Street, and investment fraud.
