J. Michael Pinson is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Pinson Communications, Inc. , a Internet publishing, syndication, distribution, broadcasting and electronic commerce holding company. Mr. Pinson is also the founder and CEO of our non-profit charity organization that supports our local community in Tampa Bay, the Pinson Foundation, Inc.

In February 2009, Pinson announced that The Pinson Foundation 4th Annual VIP Mardi Gras Charity Bash the benefits the local emergency shelter for battered women and children has 100% RSVP's 7 weeks prior to the actual event. A huge success with a record 250 guests. In January 2009, Pinson announced plans to be active in Federal & State politics as a leader for bi-partisan main stream issues. Pinson is currently a speaker on economic and national security topics. Pinson is currently a community leader in Florida. Pinson is asked to consider public office which is under review. In January 2009, Pinson was featured in Fox News Channel 13's "Business of the Week". In January 2009, Pinson was asked to sit on Congressman Gus Bilirakis's Congressional Advisory Committee for a second year in a row. In October 2008, Mr. Pinson was appointed to U.S. Senator Mel Martinez's Military Review Board for the purpose of reviewing and approving candidates applications to the Military Academies. In January 2008, Mr. Pinson was appointed to Congressman Gus Bilirakis's Congressional Advisory Committee. In 2006, Pinson was award the 3rd Fastest Growing Business in Tampa Bay rated by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. In 2002, Pinson announced the Company was expanding from 1800 new book titles it distributes to over 100,000 in the coming years. From 1986 through 1998, Mr. Pinson was an active money manager and Registered Investment Advisor. Mr. Pinson was also the editor/publisher of J. Michael Pinson's Investment Digest Newsletter & Hotline In 1994-1996, Pinson investigated as a financial analyst and Registered Investment Advisor fraud on Wall Street. His investigations exposed organized crime on Wall Street which help convict over 100 individuals to include criminal convictions against Security & Exchange Commission Agent James Nerian, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Drew Pitt who was in charge of the Organized Crime Task Force for corruption and bribery as Federal Agents within the U.S. Government. Mr. Pinson's investigations helped shut down this group and protect investors from further loses. Several public company CEOs were also convicted. Mr. Pinson, has become well-known for educating investors about financial markets and warning investors of investment fraud on Wall Street, earning him the name "The Investors' Advocate". Mr. Pinson's investment seminars are considered a must for all investors, and he has just completed his first book about successful investment strategies. The book de mystifies Wall Street for individual investors, and reveals some of the unethical practices going on regularly behind the scenes. He studied business at Trenton State College through the U.S. Army College Program. In 1983, while still attending school and engaged in active military duty, he became a Registered Investment Advisor. From 1984 through 1986 he studied financial and estate planning, and interned in portfolio management with a firm in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 1985 he successfully passed the NASD Registered Representatives examination, and in 1986 passed the NASD General Principal's examination. Recalled to active military duty for the Persian Gulf War, the Florida native served his country as a Special Operations Military Police officer and leader of an anti-terrorist and reconnaissance team. In 1991 he received a commendation for "outstanding performance" from the U.S. Army and the United States Customs Service for preventing illegal weapons, including assault rifles and their ammunition, from being smuggled into the United States.
